We
recognise that our customers have different requirements from
the reverse engineering process. We are therefore geared up
to output the captured point, curve, surface or solid data
in a variety of formats:-
The
most commons data formats supplied are:-
Point
cloud - x,y,z co-ordinates for you to use for your own
purposes
Slice
files - a set of cross sections or curves for you to create
your own surfaces
STL
- for rapid prototyping, viewing of electronic data, photorealism
or as a facetted CAD model
IGES
surfaces - for smooth surfaces in a neutral fole format
STEP
solids - for the data in a neutal solid format
Other file formats supplied include:-
Native
CAD - such as Pro/E, SolidWorks, Catia etc.
Profile
- capturing a split line of other profile data
SAT
- solid format for ACIS cad users
PRT
- solid format for Granite One cad users
DXF
or DWG - as a 3D file format usually associated with Autodesk
packages
3DS
- 3D Studio Max format
SET,
CGM - other misc 3D formats
VRML
- for web enabled applications
