IGES Surfaces
A surface
is usually created through curves or a slice file. It is also
possible to create surfaces through points. The smoothness
os the surfaces is key for most geometry output from the reverse
engineering process. Once the surfaces is created it can be
trimmed to the profile of the part and output as IGES - a
neutral file format which can be read by most 3D CAD systems.
