Step 1. Capture the point cloud to the required accuracy. Output the point cloud file.

Step 2. Refine the point cloud and/or create curves or a slice file. Output the point cloud file or curves.

Step 3. Create a polygonal mesh or STL file from the point cloud, for viewing, editing, interogation or rapid prototyping. Output an STL file.

Step 4. Create smooth surfaces through a refined point cloud, curves or polygon mesh. Output an IGES files or native CAD surfaces.

Step 5. Create a solid model from the smooth surfaces. Output a STEP file or native CAD solids.
